For the study of the stability of intake and exhaust pipelines of the desalination firm of Sfax, Globocean has conducted a study in order to assess the wave, current, and storm surges along theses pipelines.
The following tasks were successively performed :
Modelling of offshore sea-states (software WaveWatchIII
Modelling of currents and sea levels in the project area (hydrodynamic softwareTelemac2D)
Preparation of the atmospheric and astronomic inputs of the hydrodynamic model
Validation current measurement within the project area (metocean survey)
Extreme analysis of sea-states and storm surges conditioned to the sea level (Uni-variate extreme value analysis)
